What is a barcode label?
A barcode label is a graphic identifier used to express a set of information by arranging multiple black bars and blanks with different widths according to certain coding rules. Barcode label recognition is based on the principle of photoelectric conversion. The scanning head of the barcode scanner emits a light source to illuminate the barcode. The black and white bars of the barcode reflect light differently. The scanning head converts the reflected light into an electrical signal, which is decoded according to the code system specifications. The data cannot be modified after the barcode label is generated and printed.
Advantages of barcode labels
1. The barcode label is cheap, the barcode machine is cheap, and it is very convenient to buy.
2. Most machines are equipped with bar code function, and the compatibility of bar code is strong.
Disadvantages of barcode labels
1. The barcode is not easy to scan
Reading must ensure the integrity of the barcode. Damaged barcodes, frost-covered barcodes, and water-damaged barcodes cannot be recognized; barcodes have poor anti-fouling ability and durability, and damaged barcodes cannot be read.
2. Easy to fail, small data storage
Barcodes can easily fail if they are contaminated or scratched.
3. Low scanning efficiency
The barcode is one-time, and reading the barcode takes a lot of time.
